Do the cruise ships frown on putting decorations on your cabin door, if you are with a group and everyone is doing it. I bought that putty kinda stuff so I do not ruin the door with tape.
Mary Margaret
Salem,
Mike M is right. We did a door decorating on the Hawaii CM cruise. The only item is be kind to your cabin attendant and remove everything including tape etc prior to disembarkation. It is just the friendly thing to do.

One person here decorated theirs with photos of their furbabies (dogs) they left behind. It was so sweet to see their little faces and it had a pitiful note from them - something about being abandoned by their owners who went on a cruise. Here is a photo of ours:
Last March, we ended up with a group of 10, mostly family on our cruise on the Grand Princess. My hubby and I bought a bunch of tropical decorations at the party store and snuck around and hung them up on everyone's doors in our group. It was fun to hear their reactions! The crew got a kick out of us doing it. Instead of regular tape, we used a clear padded, double sided tape, precut into 1/2" squares. It was very easy to remove.
We also found some tropical party lights and hung them up on the balcony railing. It was so cool, hanging out there at night and having a drink. We even had a party out there.
Nothing better than sitting out there with a drink, listening to music and staring off into the night!
I have also seen where folks used wrapping paper and papered the door. Cool ideas from the posters above. Now I'll have to go on another cruise so I can do something neat to the door!
