I have large neon luggage tags and Budweiser key chains on my luggage. It helps at the cruise terminal and even at airports

I made colorful pom-poms with yarn and wire tied them on to my suitcase handles. I spotted them from quite a distance. Easiest baggage find I've had. I did take the pom-poms off for airline travel.

I'm the odd ball, I have a brown leather luggage tag and a white American Tourister tag on my bag, nothing else.

I always spot it right away, because it is the only one without bright tape, bright tags, and other foo fahs!

First off.. we have the uglies luggage in world, so no one would dare have the same GREEN hard sided luggage vaults... then we make it worse with BRIGHT YELLOW police crime scene tape!!

A person mistaking our luggage for theirs would have to be coming back Jamaica

I put neon yellow duct tape on the handles and in big Xs on the front and back. I've gotten some ribbing in airports from my colleagues about it, but I always find my bags instantly and no one would dare steal them.

Cheers,
Michelle B.

My wife does the same as Phyllbo, bright multi-coloured pom-poms. We also have bright red hardsided suitcases that stand out and narrow it down even more. I have notived that a number of people are placing yellow tape or those multi-coloured straps on their luggage so they are starting to look alike again! <G> This is why I like the pom=poms, they are custom colours when you mix three or more.

I used to mark mine with red and white electrical tape around the handles like a candy cane and put big X's in yellow tape across both the front and back panel. Once I was waiting for my luggage at the airport and saw a man in a business suit pick up my suitcase and walk off with it. I asked him if his luggage was marked that way.

He replied, "Well no it wasn't when dropped it off. I was wondering who marked it like this!"

<wink>

Thomas

We don't have any special markings for our luggage.....think I was scarred by my dad's marking......he used bandaids, clean of course, but I did notice no one even thought about touching his bag.

I found neon Blue straps at target store, plus put lime green electrical tape around the edge of the luggage. Ugh Ugh the better.

Been using yarn pom poms for years ... Hallmark used to sell them for gift packages - but now you have to do-it-yourself. Still they are very easy to spot.
