We're leaving for a cruise in one week and I had a disagreement with a friend of mine as to what's allowed in the carry-on luggage. She said you have to pack disposable razors in the checked baggage and I remember just putting them in my carry-on bag without any problems. Do you know who's right? Maybe this just changed since the last time I traveled, which was last summer. Does anyone know the website to check to see what's allowed and what's not? Thanks.....HAPPY CRUISING........
That's a good link but I think it only refers to what you can bring or not bring on airplanes. I believe the rules for cruise ships are slightly different - i.e. the razor wouldn't be a problem.

Best advice is if your not sure put into the checked luggage. Each airport seems to have their own guidelines of what can or can not be in carry on luggage.
Lets face it, these individuals are not paid an extraordinary amount of money and follow the policy.
I had nail clippers (no file), eye glass repair kit, tweezers, and other assorted items considered safe that were confiscated.
Be on the safe side. Just pack them for checked luggage.

My husband travels on a weekly basis, and often only brings his carry on. As far as I know he brings his razor with him all the time and has had no problems.
those restrictions apply to the airlines, pack items like your razor, sewing kits, nail clippers, etc in your checked baggage just to avoid any possible hassle at the airport and the cruise terminal.
