Default MSC Lirica ????

I just received a card about an inaugural season for this brand new ship. Does anybody have information? I've never heard of this cruise line. The itineraries are very interesting. Is this for real?

MSC is hte Mediterranean Shipping Company cruise line - they have one ship now, the Melody that sails European and Caribbean itineraries. Have never been on that ship, but have seen it in ports around the Caribbean.....in fact saw the Melody in FLL last January 21.

MSC... Mediterranean Shipping is one of the largest shipping companies in the world... a Billion dollar company, actually. The Melody (ex-Atlantic) is their only entry in the U.S. market... a classic vessel with an Italian crew... great food and low low prices on their nice itineraries out of Fort Lauderdale. The Lirica is their new build that will be introduced here next season... and she should be quite an interesting vessel.

MSC is not for everyone... but does have a loyal following here.

Ernie
I am an old Sitmar fan that has been looking for some good Italian food. Have you sailed MSC and would the food be up to Sitmar standards. ( I don't consider Costa Italian food up to par and Princess is just O.K. )?
I have considered MSC in the past but my concerns about a large amounts of smokers onboard(as many European ships have more smokers)have scared me away. I am a non-smokers and its a big issue. Your thoughts?
