Well...it was a glorious 7 days on the Mexican Riviera aboard the Carnival Elation. I'm ready to do it all over again!!! Thanks to all the info I got here and all the emails I received I was fully prepared for my first cruise...as well as going solo!!! Could it have been better??? Ofcourse it could have. However I am truly truly pleased with the entire staff on Carnival. They were superb...MY wish was their command! What more could I ask for???
I want to thank all of YOU for posting your cruise info here because without it I would have not been as comfortable about going it alone as I was...))
Congrats Gal and welcome to the "addicted ones". Any idea what your next cruise will be?

Not sure where my 2nd cruise will be...but there WILL be a 2nd cruise...trust me! . I came home to a leaking hot water heater that crept into at least 2 bedrooms...maybe a 3rd so will have to do some repairs before I book another cruise...however I will be researching & thinking about it.
Tell me...is it just me...or does everyone feel dizzy for a while after getting off the ship? Since I got home...I feel "off balance" every once in a while...PLS tell me its not just ME!!!
Welcome back and glad to hear your first cruise went so well.
Sorry to hear about the hot water heater too. Wonder what the odds are of things like that happening when you're not home. Good old "murphy's law" I guess. Hope you can get things fixed and start looking forward to that next cruise soon.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your first cruise! I'm always "coaching" concerned singles and anxiously await to hear how they liked cruising!!! :-) Ahhh, another addiction, when addiction is a good thing! :-)
Hot water heaters, ugh!!! Been there, done that and not a fun time! In my first mobile home, I got up one morning to a thoroughly soaked carpet, not fun! My new one has it in the bathroom and accessible from outside so leaking isn't as serious!
Now you can start looking at brochures and dreaming of the next one!
The water heater problem was a drag...but I think the cruise relaxed me so much...that I haven't stressed out too much over it. Ofcourse...the plumber hasn't given me the bill yet for the new water heater or relocating it to the garage. I might feel differently when I realize that the $ would have paid for my next cruise! .
(a minimal setback...but it won't stop me from planning my next cruise..
