Default mail I received.

Guess what I got in the mail today? No, not cruise documents. I guess this isn't cruise related but I'm telling everyone I know. I was on a website in March when the war in Iraq started and they had names of soldiers to "adopt' and send packages and write too. I got a name and sent letters and a huge package and today I got a letter from him. I knew nothing about him but his name. I couldn't even tell by his address if he was in Iraq or another country. Turns out he is in Iraq and said he would send pictures of things they bombed and he mentioned several times how it was like Christmas when they received packages and everyone would hover around the guys who got them. He has a wife and an 18 month old daughter and a baby due June 20th which he said they have told him he will probably get to come home for. Like he said "It's time to get out of Dodge and head home." I was really excited to hear from him. Even though I still can't put a face to him yet, I know now he is real and his emotions from the letter are real.

Thanks for letting me share this news.

That is wonderful. I sent brownies over to my cousin who was the second marine division from Fort Bragg going into Bagdad. Being able to share with the fellow soldiers means a lot to those guys and gals. Hope you get to meet them one day. Bet your a blessing everywhere you go!

soon, Denise

What a great thing to do Luann. Sounds like it meant a lot to him. I'm glad he responded to your kindness so that you could have some connection to him and feel some of the joy he felt.
