Default cruise sounds

I'd love to find .wav files of some of the sounds you hear while on a cruise. For example, the "bing bong" announcing the arrival of an elevator on Carnival, or the "da da da" that precedes an announcement. The ship's horn would be another good one.

Anyone know of such a site? If not, one of you folks who brings a computer on his or her cruises has a new task ahead!

Cheers,
Michelle B.

I heard that "dinner gong" sound tonight while waiting for the commuter train! Although I was ready to be ushered into a fine restaurant, I was disappointed to discover it was only the knife and scissor-sharpening truck rolling down the street!

I don't know about cruise ship sounds, but goatlocker.org has several wave files of navy ship sounds (horns, botswains pipes, etc.). Some of those are pretty interesting.

My clock radio has sounds on it and it's great, no horns or gongs though! The ocean waves put me to sleep at night! My sister likes the night sounds, crickets and frogs, those are not my favorites!!!

When I was working and wanted to annoy the order desk pit, I used to sign on to a site that had a ship's horn, but don't remember where I found it!

Just about the only sound on a ship that I enjoy is the keel cutting through the water, and I enjoy that a LOT. I think it is one of the most relaxing sounds in the world.

All the rest of the bing-bongs and ding-dongs are simply annoying intrusions as far as I'm concerned. In fact, one of the reasons I like Celebrity is that they keep that stuff to a minimum.

Their attitude is: "Dinner's at 8:30. You're a grownup and presumably you have a watch. If not, there's a clock on your telephone. Be there or be square."
