Re: Re: POLL- Would U like to see FORMAL nights GONE?
Love the formal nights, everyone looks so special and the pictures they take on those nights are spectacular such beautiful memories to take back home with you !!!!

Well, I don't see anybody "blasting" you. Quite the contrary.
And why should anybody blast you for simply saying that the cruise product you prefer to purchase is one that makes an effort to maintain the formal traditions of the sea?
That's obviously the majority view in this thread, and I'm pleased to see it. The problem is that it only takes a few bozos in a room full of nicely dressed people to make it seem like everything's going to hell. They DO stand out.
I'd like to let everyone dress how they wish, just like on land. If I'm dressed to kill and someone else has on jeans or shorts, it doesn't bother me in the least. I like to dress up a little bit for dinner on the cruise every night. It's nice to clean up after a day in port or on deck, put on a pretty outfit, perfume and makeup. But, I know others would rather not ... even on formal night. So, I'd do away with formals nights, saying fancy up if and when you're in the mood.
Keep the formal nights or I'm gonna kill something. {{wink}} I spent almost $300 for jacket, ties, shirts and pants. Actually I like dressing up in my Mafioso getup (as my wife calls it). {{lol}}
