I just came back from eating at a fabulous Chinese food buffet....As I was perusing the chow line, of course CRUISING popped into my head Doesn't that happen to everyone? So here is the topic...First, do you even LIKE buffets? some are set up so it makes navigating difficult...Whats the one thing you would NEVER even consider eating?..Lastly, if you could create your own buffet, what delicious morsels .would you choose to set forth on this extravaganza...Oh one more thing....I like to be able to take my own food....I don't want to say, CAN I have some MORE please !!! How about you?

Re: All you can EAT !!
While I too like self serve buffets......I have come to the realization that others on this planet have NO CLUE!!! How many times have you seen someone sneeze, wipe their hands on their pants leg and then pick up a seving utensil or touch a door knob, or hold on to a hand railing, etc? Or cough and do the same thing? Or go to the bathroom and not wash their hands? Anything they touch later is contaminated! I would rather be embarassed asking for "more" than follow someone who I don't know and had no idea where their hands were before they got into the self serve buffet line. jmho

I love buffets, but my #1 pet peeve is, they never seem to label anything! I don't wanna risk eating something "fishy" (I am NOT a seafood lover), and sometimes it's hard to tell what something is without a label!
I use to love buffets! I even like buffet in a hospital. Then a month ago I got this horrible sickness 2 days after the buffet.....and now I am scared to death to eat at any! I was sick for almost two weeks and the doc said it was probably from the buffet!
I'm not that crazy about buffets. However, this past week a total of six of us went to a chinese restaurant. all ordered something different and then shared. So it was sort of a chinese buffet.

I am not a fan of buffets. But we did eat at a really cool one last week at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, called "Boma: the Flavors of Africa." It had very interesting African food and was all fresh and delicious. Definitely worth going to even if you don't like buffets.

I love buffets but know they can be risky! I don't mind if someone serves me rather than me taking my own.
The best Chinese buffet I've been to happens to be by my sisters in Upper Michigan, which seems kind of odd to me, but then you can get to Escanaba by plane so a Chinese Buffet shouldn't surprise me! :-)
