Default POLL- Which is MORE important. Cabin Location or Dining Tabl

Which is more important to you.... the location of your cabin, or the location of your dining room table assignment??

I insist that they “both” be on the ship.lol
Cabin preferred upper levels. Table not as important.

Cabin is the most important to me.

So far the table placement hasn't been an issue.

I'm with you Jason! The most important thing is to "be there" - not where I am when I "be there"!

Cabin, balcony preferred, amidship! Only one cruise under my belt and I'm spoiled already! {{lol}} As far as dinner, just make sure I have a table, or I'm gonna scream bloody murder. {{grin}}

Gram is very fussy about room location. She pours over ship diagram's and picks out specific cabins that meet her requirements. Table location is not an issue however table size , tablemates and serving staff are all issues. We prefer a large table made up of congenial folks. On Legend last month we had asked for a large table and got a booth table for 4. Luckily we hit it off well and stayed with it We also had a good waiter and assistant.
If I had my choice for location I would prefer to be farthest into the dining room or off to one side or the other. A longer walk to get there maybe, but once there, a lot less traffic walking by.

same here, as long as it has a window. On the Summit I was right of the concierge Desk and in ports got of and on the ship right around the corner, just loved it. Auguste

Just get me onboard, cabin location matters somewhat but when I sail single I don't get alot of choices!!!

Dining, I prefer large tables with congenial folks and so far I've been pretty lucky. Moved one time out of 16 cruises so that's not bad!

Cabin location. We don't really care where in the dining room our table is located as long as the food, service, and companionship are good.

Definitely the cabin location is a priority, really don't care where in the dining room we sit, as long as its there. I also prefer a larger table, its always fun meeting new and interesting people and good tablemates can make/break a cruise.

Both are very important, however, any location on the ship as long I am there.

Now for the location in the Dining Room. Never do you want to be near the swinging doors to the Galley. That is a No No. You may smell and hear the noises from the Galley and the traffic is not to my liking.

CABIN - we like picking a specific one in the location where we know we'lll be happy. We've never worried about our dining table location. Just always hopeful that we will have enjoyable tablemates.

Cabin - even though I do book category guarantees when sailing alone, I know WHAT categories I am booking, etc. Table has never been a problem, but if it is, I will ask for a change.

I am thinking the cabin is the most important to me, but, being on the ship going in the right direction is important also, I want late seating, I will change it if the cruise lines make a mistake, but the cabin and location is the all time important thing for me and the Mr.

Both are important and have no connection to each other.

Cabin
- Has to have a window.
- Low and mid-ship with bed located to rock yuo side to side not head to tow for the smoothest ride.
- Not under the prominad deck or the jogging track if you want to sleep after sun rise.
- On the main deck for easy access to the gangway.
- if your not mid-ship the front of the ship is a smoother ride than the back.

Table
- At a large table to meet my fellow passangers.
- Next to the windows if it will still be day light when you're having dinner (northern Europe & Alaska)
- If it will be dark by the time you have dinner the curtains will be closed so closer to the center of the dinning room and away from the serving stations an dkitchen door.

Cabin.
For a table we go with another couple or two and always link our seating. Last trip even mettsome people online and they linked with us also. The location never seems to be a problem when you are with friends.

Location of the cabin is more important. I believe it would be easier to be moved to a different table if we were unhappy with our table than having our cabin changed.

Dear fellow cruisers,
The old adage; locacation, location, location rings true for cabin assignment! We always request a table for seven or more; this way there is always somebody that you can talk to! Also, if you don't like your table, you can contact the dining co-ordinator and request a change!
Sincerely,
Linda G.
