Hi captangel! Don't worry, it takes most people a little instruction and practice before they set their countdown clocks in motion. If you scroll down about 3/4 down the Chit-Chat page, you'll see a thread titled "How many days to go?" Have a look; it should give you all the information you need. Don't hesitate to post, though, if you're having problems; we're here to help.
Unfortunately, Suzi, just copying-and-pasting your countdown clock won't show the code itself because the page interprits the code, showing the clock. What you need to do is show the code as an image; that is, add extra [img[img][/img]] and [/img[img][/img]] tags around the [img[img][/img]] and [/img[img][/img]] tags. It's a little tricky.
Cheers,

I guess I'm not very computer literate. I need to put the extra tags where? Beginning and ending of the copied and pasted portion? Shoot, and I thought I did good just figuring out the copy, paste procedure. I'm thinking that packing for this cruise will be easier. Sigh....
Suzi, if you're leaving in 90 days then Michelle has got you and the clock working. You're good to go!
Captangel, add the to the badk of your clck and you should see it appear in your posts.

You need a " after "GMT-500fthe." Try that.
You need a left bracket img right bracket before "http", and left bracket slash img right bracket after "GMT-500." I tried to include them in the previous sentence but they only show as quotes.

Did you put in the [ img ] before the URL and the [ /img ] after it?
You have to take the spaces out of the [ ] for the image to show when you actually do it.
I think you miscopied part of the countdown clock code. Try redoing it... highlight the code below with the mouse, right click and select "copy," then in the signature space, right click and select "paste."
Thanks Michelle. You managed to get me through this and that's quite an accomplishment.
Mark, I think the days are accurate but those hours may be off. Probably GMT vs California time. However it's close enough for me and I'm not going to mess with it.
UGH! apparently I am very useless!!! I give up!
My count on my calendar says 112 more sleeps!
thanks for trying to help me!
I am not very computer smart!!
cheers,
