Is there somewhere you can get info on all the hurricanes?? other than the TV.
We hit hurricanes once out of 4, I would like NOT to do it again!!
Cheers,

The psychic must have listened to the weather center's "expert" forecasters too. They are also predicting a heavier than normal hurricane season. Can only hope they are as right as they were last year when they had the same prediction!

Re: Predictions for an active hurricane season

That was announced by NOAA/NWS several weeks ago. I suspect the psychic watches the same meteoroligists I do. Prognostications from either source can be hit or miss.
Most meteorologists don't try to anticipate weather beyond 5 days or so. However, the temperatures in the Pacific Tropic zones are statistically consistent with records for years with active hurricane seasons. We'll just have to wait and see what happens off the coast of Africa.

If you want more up to date information about hurricanes and tropical storms try www.nhc.noaa.gov. That's the website of the Tropical Prediction Center. It can probably tell you more than you want to know TS formation.

Hey, Kuki and Michelle, great minds do think alike.

Steve

It's all due to El Nino, or is it La Nina? Or the lunar eclipse in the southern sky. Or the Ouija board? Or the grassy knoll gunmen?

Thomas

Re: Predictions for an active hurricane season

There's nothing Nuevo about El Nino. All the media talk about is the extremes, El Nino, and La Nina. Between the two is El Viejo. But El Viejo is too stable to generate any news. Before 1990, or so, who ever heard of any of them?

Let's blame it on TWC! Christina Abernathy, Joe Cantori, Janelle Whatchamacallit, It's your fault! <LOL>

I think El Niņo's a blip. Latin music is on the way out, really.
