Just a land trip to Vegas in Dec. and Alaska on the Norwegain Star next June. How does everyone get so much vacation time to take 3 and 4 cruises a year? I suppose living in Nebraska where we have to fly everywhere it gets costly to cruise too so we have to limit them. Will Nebraska ever become a port of embarkation?....Ha-Ha!!
Having never been accused of being "stacked"....I only have one cruise in the wings.....February 22 on Voyager of the Seas. We did have wedding's stacked at 4 earlier this year.....now down to one!

Not sure where we will go for the Fall 2004, but I have to wait for the football schedule to come out, as my husband can't miss a game! Of course, for what he paid for the tickets, I will KILL him if he misses a game!
I'm from Des Moines, Iowa and getting read for cruise #30 in three weeks. I think Nebraska will turn into a cruise port right after Iowa (Ha ha). That's why we cruise because of where we live. I love the ocean and I live right in the middle of the country, which is why I cruise whenever I can....I try to get one to three cruises booked a year; the more the better. This year only two and I'm looking ahead to see what's available for next year. I've worked for the government for over 20 years, is how I get 5 weeks vacation a year; but that just means I'm old too, so don't be too envious of me. I waited till my kids got out of college before I had any $ to cruise and now, I go every chance I get.
Happy Cruising.........Grandma in Iowa.
PS My husband and I are going to Vegas in December also; I noticed by your message that you are too.....We've been there before but only in the summertime. Do you know what the temperature will be in December? Have you been there before that time of year? We're going for New years eve, instead of a cruise, which we usually do. Where are you staying?
I don't know if you can call one cruise a stack.... Oh Well!
11-22-03 Western Caribbean & Guatamala on the Veendam
We are going on a land cruise to Oaxaca, Mexico in April of '04. I'm very excited about this trip. We're going to be taking cooking lessons from some excellent famous and not-so-famous Mexican chefs. It should be really interesting.
One booked and coming soon. Summit Alaska cruise/tour Aug. 3. Docs should be coming any day now.
Two in dreaming stage--Adventure of Seas to S. Carib. Jan. '04
British isles and Scandinavia, summer '04-- not sure which ship.
Small stack of previous cruises:
Explorer to E. Carib. 1/12/02
Explorer to W. Carib. 1/18/03
Grandma in Iowa (BUDDY),
It's good to see others from the midwest too. I am not too envious of you but just wondered if most lived on the coast and don't have to fly or how cruises pop up so quick for some. I feel blessed to beable to do one cruise this year and then a land trip. Our only time in Vegas was in May of 98 and it was pretty hot. This is our first time for winter but it should be in the 50's in Dec. they say. Anyway I don't like extreme heat so I don't mind wearing a coat. I just hope we don't get a blizzard to stop our flight from Omaha. We are staying at a condo (timeshare) called Desert Paradise Resort I think.
Hope you have a great trip and a Happy New Year in Vegas!
