Our friends Mike and Valerie are very dear to us. We met them on the train from London to Dover heading toward our Baltic cruise in 2000. We have since cruised with them in South America. They are amazing people that make us laugh the entire time we are with them. They are now some of our best friends. It's too bad they live in Colorado and we live in Washington State. But I guess that's why god made telephones.
Yes I do keep in touch with some of the people that I have met on cruises but most of them live in different states so we do not keep in touch on a regular basis. In fact, in May
of 04 I will be on the Conquest and some one else that I met on another cruise will
be on the same ship
We did for a while with a couple onthe Westerdam....but when you are not close by, you lose the thread that linked you....I think I just may give her a call, now that you mention this!...Trip./ Monday Chat Host
YES, we have met friends who wish to stay friends. These we have met on cruises and land tours. Several times we have returned to the same locations and a reunion was performed. Many we have cruised with on other cruises. Several we keep in touch via phone, email, correspondence and Christmas Cards with annual letters telling of our escapaded for the past year. Several have visited our home and Helen and I have visited their homes. We have dear friends who live in Glasgow, Scotland. We have visited them in their home there and they have come to stay with us. We have friends who live in Australia. We have visited them at their home. As yet they have not come to see us, but maybe that will happen someday.
YES-YES we do keep in contact with some. Some have fallen by the wayside but they are still listed in my Roster of Friends.
We run the whole gamut from not at all to close friends. We have done two subsequent cruises with dear friends we met on our 4th cruise. We still correspond (Christmas cards etc) with probably 5 or 6 couples. There are several folks we kept up with for a while , then stopped. Then there were the ones we never even exchanged addresses with. We've watched the families of several honeymoon couples we've met grow through pictures and emails. On 9/12/01 we got phone calls at home from folks we met
from London and Bermuda , who knew we lived and worked near NYC , to check on us and our families after 9/11.
Yes, still e-mail one friend from a cruise, kept in touch with another honeymoon couple from another cruise, and sent photos to the most recent family we dined with. Hoping to meet some more nice folks in Aug. that I will want to stay in touch with!
Unfortunately I didn't get an e-mail address from our tablemates on our trip July 5th. They were the best group I've ever been with on a cruise and we had so much fun! I do know that one will be at one of the stands at the Kutztown, Pa. festival. My friend and I plan to see them! If Claude or Monique, Robin or Michael, Harry or dDane read this please e-mail me! We were on the Century.
