Default In office surgery procedure after all

Well after talking to my plastic surgeon today I have to see him next wednesday and he will cut the dead skin out and put the living skin together with stitches. I ran into this problem out of the blue sunday after I was totally healed after my reduction. He guesses it was a spider bite or my indoor cat scratching and it got infected and it just burst. Doesn't help that I still have no or little feeling there on my left side. I am not running a fever but this will take about 3-4 weeks to heal after next week. I just hope it will be okay. My surgery was in February....

Did anyone else ever got bitten by a spider or scratched on a body part? There is a slight chance the skin will heal but he said it is completely dead<all black> so here I go pray again .... It's always something....

Sue - as a nurse I can tell you that once the skin is all black (necrotic), it is dead beyond healing. Beat thing to do is get it removed. Praying that all goes well and that you will heal quickly.

Sue,

Glad to hear the doctor is going to take care of you and patch you up good as new once again. In the meantime, you're in my prayers and maybe the Great Physician will heal you before that.

Take care and keep us posted.

Phyll
