Okay peoples, no discussion of if you feel it right or wrong or if it is rules that should be enforced or ignored etc but I would really like to get a percentage of who does and who doesn't dress for formal nights. If you wear a Tux or formal style gown say so, if you wear a suit and 'dress clothes' say so, If you just wear whatever or go to the buffet also say so. It would be interesting to get a percentage of who dresses and who doesn't. I'll start;
Yes, Tux and Gown
Jim
Gary has done both, tux and dark suit. I've done gown and cocktail dress. We enjoy dressing up for formal nights.

If I go to the dining room for dinner I always wear nice dresses and definately formal wear on formal night. If I decide to do the buffet then Im dressed more casual. My very first cruise I only ate in the main dining room once as I was uncomfortable with our table mates.
We always dress for "formal" night, husband even packs his tux and I usually wear short cocktail type dresses. Its only for 2 nights and it makes the evening so special plus you can get some great photo's to take home.
Most of our cruises have three formal nights, since we like 10 nighters so we have to be interchangeable with our wardrobe. I find it fun now to buy dressy clothes for our cruises....... at a discount of course.
Now we didn't start out that way...it was navy jacket and dress slacks, shirt and tie for him and fancy blouse and skirt or pants for me. But since we love cruising so much we have expanded our wardrobe and I'm glad we did. We always look and feel great.
José has worn a suit in the past, but, thanks to Mr. Tuxxman, he's all fixed up with a tux for our next one! He bought it for the Norway, but............. Oh well, there will be other cruises. I wear a formal dress or gown. I have a couple of beaded tops that I can wear with a long skirt that really makes an elegant outfit as well.
Looks like we have mostly people that are at least willing if not preferring to dress up. About 95% of Cruisemates seem to dress very well. <G> Love it!
