Here in the U.S. we have a three-day weekend coming up. What's everyone doing for Labor Day weekend?
For me it's a four-day weekend so Mark and I are traveling up to the Florida panhandle to visit my parents. I'm really looking forward to seeing them; plus it's my dad's birthday Saturday so I want to be there for that.
I'm hoping the high gas prices will keep everyone else off the roads!
Now posting as MichelleP.
I'm heading to my sisters house in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan Thursday a.m. (after my dentist appointment)! Main thing will be getting through Milwaukee with all the Harley's in town for the 100 year celebration!
I'm going to stay until Tues. or Wed. so I don't have to head back with everyone else on Monday. We all know everyone leaves Illinois for a last fling in Wisconsin over Labor Day!!! :-)
Nahma has a "Come Home to Nahma" Day Celebration on Sunday and I like to be there for it. My mom was from Nahma so it's kind of fun to go, my sister loves living there so it's a good thing!
We're having a Saturday night dinner for our dinner club. It's at our house this time. We'll be serving undetermined appetizers, whole romaine leaf carsar salad, chioppino,
homemade ciabatta bread, Cicilian cassata, Brunello red wine. We hope our little get-together will be fun.
Other than the Saturday night function, we will just be staying home and cleaning up around the house and gardens.
Nothing planned, actually we lead pretty boring lifes, one would think that we were retired, because we really don't do anything other than hang out in our back yard relaxing on our deck listening to music. This statement is not meant to offend any retired people, because retired people are able to choose how they spend their days and this is how we choose to spend our time off after work. OK, let the flaming begin.

I like Tweety's plans the best! Have a great time on the Grand!
As for me, we have Labour Day weekend up here in Canada too, and usually it means Back-to-School shopping around here! I hadn't even realized that Labour Day was THIS weekend, so obviously, had made no plans! Will probably try to get my Legend photos organized and share some of them with you guys...
Depending on gasoline availability, we are planning to go to Flagstaff to see my folks, but not until Sunday. Josť has to work on Saturday. Actually, gas is a lot easier to come by this week than last, but the prices haven't dropped a red cent! It's still 60 cents a gallon more than it was 2-1/2 weeks ago!
Yahoo! 3 days! On Saturday the marching band is once again canvassing door to door for the uniform fundraiser......if the kids raise $15,000 by Oct. 15th the band director has agreed to have his head shaved at the 50 yard line during half time at one of the home football games! So far we've raised $2300 in one weekend......
On Sunday we're going to Lee's Lakeside for brunch to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and our daughters 17th birthday. It's one of my favorite spots in Orlando.
Nothing planned for Monday.....maybe a quick trip to the beach now that the ocean is back in the mid 70's.
We had plans each day but with my medical stuff we will put everything off. Not sure if I am even going to church....I know we need to go to Home Depot and exchange stuff and get something for the house. Beach, pool etc the things one does here n FL are totally out for me...in other words i am bummmed out
