Default Saltwater Cowboy

You Floridians that live around St. Augustine should feel proud. Saltwater Cowboy was just shown on "The Best Of" (Food Network) as one of the best barbecue restaurants in the USA. Congrats

Mark,
It is indeed a very good place to eat. My favorite there is "gator-tail" <G> You would be surprised that for such a small little town we have some of the finest cruisine you can find anywhere in the USA. No hotey-todey fancy stuff, just some of the best prepared and tasting food to be found anywhere.

Well, maybe my next Florida trip will have to include a tour up your way, Robo!

I have never heard of the place. I'll have to look it up. We usually end up eating at Columbia when we are in St. Augustine... but it's about time we try someplace new. What do you recommend there, Robo?

Cheers,
Michelle B.

SWC's is very good. Santa Maria on the Bayfront is also very good. You also have Harry's, La Palvilon, the Parisanne, Osteens (one of the best), Raintree, Antonio's, Barnicale Bills, etc. etc. We have a ton of outstanding resturants in this little town.

Jim, Osteens was also featured on The Best Of. You've got some mighty fine restaurants in south Fl.

We like Harry's and Raintree... the bartender at Santa Maria was rude to us once so we don't go back there... Antonio's is good... I've always wanted to try La Pavillon and the Parisanne, but never have. I'll have to put Osteens and Barnacle Bills on the list. We always passed Osteens but never thought about eating there.

Thanks for the recommendations!

Cheers,
Michelle B.

The Fiddler's Green, right on the ocean at Vilano Beach, is also a good place.
