ok Im probably gonna get some flack for this but ....... may peace be in the next 24 hours and let this day pass without conflict. In memory of those lost that day and those to come......... God bless and may your families find comfort......
sorry folks if I have displeased...... I watched it happen and I can't just let it go by
Neither have I forgotten the images of that day. Watching all those all those planes filling the sky in the approach to the local airport and the utter silence of the sky, afterward. My jaw stayed clenched for a week. God bless and protect all Americans as
I only watched from TV land, very far away and far removed, but when the Legend was approaching N.Y. in Aug. at the end of our cruise, the most awesome and sobering sight was seeing Manhatten where the towers used to be, and envisioning "for real" wht it must've been like when those planes hit the towers. Very sobering indeed.
I wish you all Peace today....
Please remember the Fallen, but also remember the Defenders alike. They have not died, but will risk so, for the same purpose of those that have.
I’m not afraid to say it…GOD BLESS AMERICA AND WATCH OVER HER… I believe our only intent is to help others experience the freedoms and benefits of a country I truly love and will defend, until my last dyeing breathe. <Stepping off my soap box now>
Jason If a grin is transmittable, and laughing is contagious, here’s hoping for an epidemic!
Anyone who was alive on that day will never forget.
It's so hard to believe it was two years ago. Seems like yesterday. I still can't watch news reports or read newspaper articles without crying. I didn't know anyone who was killed that day, but the unimaginable horror of all those senseless deaths just tears me up inside.
My prayers go out for all the families and friends of those lost who are still suffering. May God bless and strengthen them as they try to get through this terrible anniversary.
Now posting as MichelleP.
I agree too that peace at least for a day (more if possible) would be great. I just returned from a ceremony "graduating" a new firefighter off of his 6 months probationary period with a helmet ceremony. Then we had a moment of silence and lowering the flags to half mast. This afternoon, they are going to dedicate a new commemorative stamp and an organization from NYC will be donating a huge chunk of tower one to our Fire Dept to be placed at a fallen firefighter memorial that our town will be constructing. As you can see, it is still fresh in our minds too. To all of the families of those who perished, our prayers are with you still.
We can remember that day very well. We were in Chihuahua, Mexico on a land tour.
We were watching TV and were able to see the planes coming in. It was horrible. Our first thoughts were of the many lives that would be lost. We boarded our tour bus and I asked for silance as we prayed for the lost lives.
Yes I can remember.
