What a doll! My Oscar the Shih Tzu is 9 years old, and these 9 years have been full of love and kisses. This breed is absolutely the most loving I have ever encountered, and everyone who knows the Shih Tzu says the same thing. Be prepared fora lifetime of devotion!

My puppy, Jonah (a black poodle), sends along a Happy Six Month Birthday to Princess Isabell of Marmora. He too is celebrating a birthday today, though he is only a young duffer of five months.

Isabelle is sure cute, Doug. Now how are you going to leave her and go on a cruise? Course she is so small, you could probably take her right along in your carry on.

Phyll- Gonna wear sunglasses and claim she is my seeing eye Shih Tzu when we go on the cruise. BTW, she isn't that little, she is already 14 pounds!
Trip- Don't think the romance will work out, she had a little operation last week that took care of that.
DezertCruzer- We thought our poodle was kissy and lovey, but she is cold and distant compared to Isabelle. Isabelle can be a little stubborn, especially concerning training, have you found this to be true?
Everyone- Thanks for the complements on the world's cutest puppy!

DougR - as to the training - suffice it to say that in his first 2-1/2 years of life Oscar destroyed 8, yes, I said 8 pairs of prescription eyeglasses. He was very easily potty trained, and to this day I keep a puppy pad in one corner so that if he has to go and we're not home, he can use it. He knows what it's for, he uses it when necessary, and I praise him to the high heavens when de does. But, getting him to stop chewing things was an uphill battle for years! We always made sure he had plenty of things he was allowed to chew, but library books and my eyeglasses were simply his favorite chew toys!

By the way, what do you call your little princess? Princess Isabelle of Marmora is a real mouthful!

She is as cute as a speckled puppy under a red wagon at Christmas time..She's a keeper..

Dezertcruzer- She already took out one pair of prescription eyeglasses. She also is very fond of furniture legs and toilet paper (in cahoots with her partner in crime, our Tabby cat Sunny). We call her Isabelle and I stand corrected by my wife, her AKC name is Marmora's Princess Isabelle.
