We are first time cruisers and we are assigned cabin on Lido deck with balcony. Since the lido deck seems to have a lot on it, will this be a noise problem? Thinking about taking ear plugs but I want to be prepared for any problems here--thanks
since the Lido deck is a main center of activity on most cruise ships, i would imagine it would be very busy, lots of folks coming and going and would be a bit on the noisey side.
Been on the Lido deck a few times and never noticed anything different from any other deck, except that you're closer to a lot of things (pool, buffet, etc.), which was quite convenient. You can sneak from your cabin to the Lido buffet and get breakfast and bring it back to your cabin - that's kind of nice once in a while.
The passenger cabins on the ships I was on were somewhat separated from the main activity areas so I never had any problems with noise.
We were on the Lido on the Golden Princess and was very convenient to everything and suprisingly quiet. There are 2 sets of doors between the cabins and the pool area, so the noise is blocked out. The cabins were beyond the elevators, so there weren't people walking by the room constantly.
Hey, all the answers have been great. On the Glory ship---it will be nice to be close to everything, will go to breakfast buffet and eat out on our balcony--Thanks everyone!
