I'm leaving the day after tomorrow on vacation. No, it isn't a cruise, but it's almost as good! How does everyone stay sane those last couple of days before you leave?! I'm having a lot of trouble concentrating at work!
Now posting as MichelleP.
Agree - leaving for Lauderdale Sat. and on the Maasdam Sunday....getting loonier by the minute. Have NO interest in work, am sure I'm forgetting something important in packing, worrying about the new house/cat sitter (do I really need to clean?), will re-pack carry-on 2-3 more times and still be sure I forgot something - must get it through my head that Tums can probably be found in the Antarctic, so they must be available in the Caribbean.
Have met people on cruises who say, "It takes me 2-3 days to unwind". Not me - once I close my office door, drive down the hill, I think, "Job, what job? I have a job?" I unwind within seconds....only wish I could do a little of it NOW!
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall
Re: How do you stay sane?
Michelle - only have 4 more working days til I start my vacation....and I am not so quietly going insane this week! As a nurse, I can't afford to be forgetful, but every resting moment I am talking about the cruise, what I will be doing, etc. I think my coworkers are ready to kill me! lol The only thing that is keeping me sane is that for once, I have not procrastinated and have myself mostly packed! And I will have Thursday off before I leave to get the last minute stuff done. So I guess I will just hang out on the boards and keep myself sane by enjoying them!

I really do not have any problem with keeping sane when it coes to the last few days before I go on a cruise. The way i think about it life is one big cruise sometime you hit bad weather and sometimes you have smooth sailing but the course that you go you
is up to you.
