Default port canaveral

Hi!

We are looking into booking the Mariner of the Seas out of Port Canaveral.

Which airport is more convenient to the Port Canaveral pier, Tampa or Orlando?

Thanks!

Orlando, hands down. Tampa is on the Gulf Coast, Canaveral on the Atlantic Coast. Orlando is inland, almost midway between the two. And there will be direct shuttle service from Orlando to Port Canaveral, probably nonexistent at Tampa.

Not a Floridian, but wouldn't West Palm Beach also be an option? Maybe one of the Florida people could answer that one.

Orlando is closer to Port Canaveral than West Palm Beach. The Orlando airport is about a 45-minute drive to the pier, while West Palm Beach is roughly two and a half hours.

Plus, probably no shuttle service from West Palm.

Cheers,
Michelle B.

Orlando by far. It is the #1 tourist destination in the world and you will find cheaper flights there because of it.

Thomas

Orlando by far. Construction is going on at all Fl ports. Best bet is take the shuttle from Orlando

Orlando is the place to be. However, if you're going in a day or two before, as did Susie and I, I recommend that you rent a car at the airport and turn it in at Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach, wherever the particular agency has its office, and take their shuttle to the pier. Piece of cake! Susie and I found it to be completely hassle-free!

Hi Carrie,

The most convenient airport is Orlando - about 40 miles, Tampa is another 90 from Orlando. Most cruise lines offer transfers from Orlando to the Pier.
We have some great rates on the Mariner - an absolutely incredible ship and definitely a line that my clients love. Great service, wonderful activities both on board and on shore excursions. Let me know if you want a quote.
