Hi Jeanie, how 'bout joining my husband and I on the QM2 next Nov.? If not, I would recommend anywhere in the Caribbean - Alaska looks lovely, but we get enough of the cold weather where we live in Montreal!
Well that depends on many things. We love the Caribbean, but if we had both money and time we would do a Med. cruise, Greece Turkey maybe Italy and France.
If your a sight seer rather than a " beach " person then Europe would be appealing, same with Med. if you like "beach and "shopping " then Caribbean has a lot to offer. We prefer Eastern but then to each his own.
The Southern Caribbean cruises are HIGHLY recomended, we haven't had a chance on them yet.
If money was no object what about long cruise to South Amercia, or the Orient!!! Wonderful spots, my mom loved her Asian cruise, said it was one of her favorites.
Give more info on what you are interested in!!
I have four favorite cruises with regards to itinerary. I'm not sure which I would rank higher so I'll put them alphabetically:
Baltic Capitals (Estonia and St. Petersburg are 2 of many amazing ports.)
Panama Canal (We loved seeing the animals, rainforests, and banana plantations, of Costa Rica, the Cuna Indians of San Blas, and learning the history of Cartagena and the canal of course.)
South America (We very much enjoyed the Paris-like qualities of Buenos Aires, the Tango, the Cemetary and history of "Evita," the Penguins of Pategonia, and the Andes mountains after cruising the horn. The western coast of Chile is magnificent as well.
And if you haven't seen Hawaii, an island hopping cruise is a good way to see this amazing state with no packing or unpacking and no lost days due to air travel.
