Are you still just too busy to think about the wedding now? Are you starting to get nervous?
Are you still getting married in St. Augustine? If one, say someone, (looking into the sky), wanted to send a gift to, say, a bride and groom, what church would this someone need to send it to?
Hi Thomas. I'm not nervous but I'm a little overwhelmed. As the wedding gets closer and closer my to-do list gets bigger and bigger. We're going to St. Augustine this weekend to meet with the priest and pick up the marriage license. Then in two weeks I fly up to my parents' for my final dress fitting and shower. Things are mostly on track.
I asked about digital camcorders because our videographer bailed and we have no one to make a wedding video since I haven't found anyone else in our price range. So if we set up a digital camcorder on a tripod in the church that ought to give us a passable video of the ceremony - better than nothing, I guess.
Thank you, but no one on Cruisemates is allowed to send us a gift. It would just make me feel bad because I wasn't able to invite any of you. Your good wishes are all the gift we need.
Cheers,
Michelle B.

Congratulations on your upcoming big day.
All we did for our wedding (as well as of my two sibblings) was, we just asked a few friends or family members that owned or that would use our camera to record our wedding ceremony. Ask around, you might end up with a few copies and be able to edit it together. Nowadays a lot of people have cameras, I think my sister ended up with three different tapes of her wedding.
Actually, Jason, that address is actually incorrect.
If someone is tenacious enough to want to send me a gift in spite of my protests, I recommend you do not send it to the church as they will not know what to do with it. E-mail me and I will tell you where I am registered. And if you are determined enough to send me a gift, finding out my e-mail address shouldn't be too difficult.
Cheers,
Michelle B.

michelle, set the camcorder up in front of you but behind the person who is marrying you and that way you will also get people who attend your wedding at the same time, i agree with delia that if you start letting people know now that your videographer bailed you will get a lot of people that will volunteer for the job, those tapes usually are better than if someone you dont know takes the video, they will know who to zoom in on and are more personable. good luck and enjoy your day.
The church has very strict rules about where exactly the video cameras may be placed, so we are restricted in that area. But we will try to make the best out of it.
Cheers,
Michelle B.
