We used Vacations to go and had a very successful trip. The TA that we had was very helpful and very friendly. We used it in 2002 and would have booked a trip in 2003 but we happened to find a cheaper price on the cruise website. But we did call to get information. I would use them again if I saved money.
pg....what cruiseline and ship? 500 cheaper than your TA? sounds to good to be true OR your TA is way out of line on pricing. Make sure you are comparing price with same ship..date...cat of cabin. If you are looking at a Celebrity cruise ...see what their website is charging for same thing. Make sure the travel agent offering 500 cheaper are showing all charges to include port charges up front. Good luck .
This is great to know. Cruise deals available at US sites are fantastic compared to what IŽve found on german sites. Considering how strong the Euro is, that makes the price even sweeter. This is one of the few sites that I have found that will accept our german credit card. Most want a US address for that credit card, which we canŽt provide.
My one question was regarding documents, whether weŽd pick them up at the pier (no doc dance!) or can they be sent. They can arrange to be sent via UPS. IŽd rather have them in my hand and not chance it!
Understand that NO AGENT or agency will always be the best for every cruise. It pays to shop around and then make your determination based on the information, priceing, service, etc that they can offer for any particuliar cruise and cabin.
We used them last June on the Carnival Victory for a 5 day cruise. It was their fast deal, 299 a person including everything! My daughter and I spent another 30 dallars to have 2 lower beds instead of and upper bunk and lower bed. We we upgraded to a cabin with windlow. Son and friend were upgraded from upper and lower bed to 2 lower beds. We booked 10 days before sail date. Picked up our doc. at the pier. Would use them again if the price was right. Like Jim said, you have to shop around.
