Today is Veteran's Day and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person you has served our country. You are truly a special breed. Thank you so much.

Thanks to all for remembering us on this day. Our Veterans should not be judged by the merits or popularity of the war in which they fought, but by their willingness to go serve and sacrifce for their country. To all the men and women of the armed forces, past, present and future, I salute you.

A special thank you to all who have served, are serving and will serve in the armed forces. Your sacrifices are the bedrock to what is good in this land. Bless you all, now and forever.
A special salute to Doug and Rick and the other CM's who are also veterans.
I add my voice to those saying thank you to our veterans. As a veteran's daughter I couldn't be prouder of the contributions you've all made toward not just keeping our nation free, but working to preserve freedom wherever it is threatened in the world. Thank you.
Now posting as MichelleP.
For those of you who didn't know, the holiday was originally called "Armistice Day" in commemoration of the end of World War I on Nov. 11, 1918. It was to honor the fallen American military personnel from that war, but was later changed to "Veterans Day" to honor and remember all U.S. veterans living and dead.
Thank you for posting this tribute, Mary Lou. I and veterans everywhere appreciate that at least some of our citizens don't hesitate to acknowledge the contributions and sacrifices that have been made for this wonderful land. God bless America, its friends and allies!
I'm just back from our Remembrance Day service and as usual, it brought tears to my eyes. THANKS just doesn't seem to be enough to say when one considers what sacrifices have been made. I try to remember that our wars, near and far over the years, lasted longer than 1 day. We should be thankful to our veterans and peacekeepers each day of the year. And although it truly isn't enough - my heartfelt THANKS go out to all veterans the world over who fought for country, liberty and peace.
Yes to all of the veterans...a big thank you and bless you for what you did. I'm glad some of the veterans wrote where and when they served. If more veterans post here, please we'd love to hear where and when.
