Cruise Gripe Humor
After reading all of the gripes, I wrote the following.
Ode to Cruse Gripes
Cruising should be fun,
Cruising should be great.
Why do all these lousy
people do stuff that I hate.
I can’t stand the smokers,
and the noisy children too.
I wish my tablemates
to dinner would wear shoes.
People saving show seats
causes me to whine.
Don’t forget the elderly
cutting in the buffet line.
Then there are the teenagers
acting like so many fools.
At least they aren’t saving
beach chairs by the pools.
The baby screaming during dinner
has me considering a crime.
As are the cheap cruisers
who won’t even tip a dime.
Even the wonderful cruise staff
is getting on my nerves.
Why can’t my towels be towels
and not animals and birds?
I’ve even got a travel agent
whose attitude I hate.
He won’t give me the $699 cruise
at the advertised $399 rate.
All this aggravation
is giving me the blues.
I need a nice vacation
Perhaps I’ll take a cruise…

Dalech,
That is great!! I love to write poetry myself, but couldn't come with something so witty so fast. I haven't sat down to think about it. Keep it up!! We need a little-or a lot- of humor and chuckles to make our life lighter. Lynne

Dalech, welcome to the board - it's great to have some more craziness around here!
(Great poem by the way!)

I love the poem, Dale.
Seems to sum up that whole board.
Thanks for the chuckle.

Kuki,
Don't worry, nobody can replace you!
All,
Thanks for the compliments. I wrote this while thinking about all of the gripes I've read.

Dalech- Good poem! I am glad I never read the Gripes section until after I discovered the Chitchat and Carnival sections. I just checked in and read them a month ago;I was laughing increduously and let's just say I enjoy the people on this CChat board much better!!(uh-no offense anyone!!)
