Default Ft. Lauderdale restaurant recommendation

looking for a nice restaurant for our pre-cruise stay. Have been to the Biminy Boatyard and loved that place. Looking for something casual/nice and not too pricey.

15th Street Fisheries is supposed to be good.

Cheers,

I like informal places to eat . One place I like is Aruba. It is actually a little north of Ft Lauderdale in Lauderdale by the Seas, It is onthe Ocean at the end of Commerce Blvd.
Weather permitting they open huge doors out onto the beach.
Another I like is Pussers. Part of the famous Pussers in Tortola in the BVI's . They have a very nice private outdoor patio and tropical music on weekend nights.
Both are informal places with a varied menu .

15th Street Fisheries is very pricy IMO. Had 2 lobster tails (cuz it was the only thing I liked on the menu ... not a big fish/seafood eater) and they cost $45!!!

I've always liked Outback.

Lisa try the web site greatports.com, click on Ft Lauderdale and then the restaurants. Hope this helps.

another question, any restaurants within walking distance of the Embassy Suites or will we have to grab a cab? 15th Street Fisheries sounds nice, what's the price range?

There is a restaurant in the Embassy Suites, there is a sports bar /restaurant in the shopping center next door and there are several chain type restaurants right on 17th St causeway.

And, Outback is next door to the Embassy Suites. Yes, you'd take a cab to the Fisheries.

I did not enjoy 15th street fisheries..very limited menu all ala carte and very pricey...if you have a car drive up a1a, and go to Aruba Restaurant.. try this sight for other dining ideas.....http://www.sunny.org/visitors/index.cfm for great ideas...

Please, please I love Canada but do not refer to Canada in the Winter when we are talking cruising please only mention what the frigid temperature is, no disrepect intended,

Love the hot stuff!
