I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for all your prayers and kind words for my granddaughter Brianna. Your response was truly overwhelming! And a special thanks to those of you (Anne, Pam, Phyll, Susie and Michele) who took the extra time to email me information and recommendations regarding her condition.
Brianna's testing will continue. Following the results of additional bloodwork, she will return to Boston to undergo tissue biopsy and further diagnostic studies in order to pinpoint her problem. Her specialist, Dr. Katherine Sims, is a respected clinician/researcher as well as a professor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Sims is also Director of the Neurogenetic Clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Brianna is in good hands, and we believe that all your prayers and good thoughts will help her through this. I've compiled all of your comments, together with your names, into a report which I've sent to her mother so that Bri's parents will know what a fine bunch of people I'm associated with here on CruiseMates. Thanks again, and God bless you all.
Jack.. sounds like Brianna is in extremely qualified hands. That combined with the prayers of all of us here, your friends, and family can be awfully powerful!!
I'm thankful this Thanksgiving holiday to know Brianna is getting the expert care she deserves. Please let her know she has a group of friends here at CruiseMates she has never met in person but who are pulling for her regardless.
Jack,
She is definately in good hands. Believe that Dr Simms is very well known in the Boston area. You can't go wrong with Boston MD's. Will email you later
