Read any good books lately?

Good Evening fellow cruisers:

It is cold and dark night here in Columbus, Ohio. I can't wait to get on the Navigator of the Seas in March! I am thinking about books...I love to read and I am already trying to decide what book I want to read as I loung in my chair on deck in the hot sun.
I like to read John Sandford, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Greg Iles, Ridley Pearson, Kate White, Robin Cook, Peter Celment, Lisa Scottoline, Karin Slaughter, Michael White --- just to name a few.

What book will you be taking on your cruise?

Well, I'm not going on a cruise for awhile yet, but right now I am reading "Skipping Christmas" by John Grisham. (thanks Sue!). Just started it, and so far I really like it, it has very tongue-in-cheek humour about the commercialism of Christmas and how we all follow like sheep. The best part is the plot: empty-nester couple decide to "skip" Christmas this year in order to go on a 10 day Caribbean Cruise! Not a bad idea!

I just read the Summons by John Grisham on my Elation cruise.

I took the Lord of the Rings Triology on 2wk PC cruise--still didn't finish it.
If you are into it try the Patrick O'Brian books. He is the guy who wrote Master and Commander. They are very detailed as far as historical and technical accuracy.
Of course, as a guy, I like Clive Cussler and Dale Brown, along with Tom Clancy

"The Wedding" by Nicholas Sparks.... this is a must read for girls and guys! The girls would enjoy the story and romance and the guys could learn lots from this book..... it's a keeper.
