Default Cruising and media bias

With the news that Carnival will be repositioning the Holiday to Mobile, AL full time, I did some interesting research on how the local TV stations there covered the story. WEAR TV (ABC) had a quote from the mayor and then talked about Pensacola, FL (50 miles east of Mobile) is trying to land passenger cruise ships. WEAR studios are located in Pensacola, where other TV stations serving that area are located in Mobile. The full article is at http://www.weartv.com/news/Stories/d...ival1216.shtml . WPMI (NBC) focused a lot on the economic impact. They also had a quote from a Mobile County commissioner who was concerned that the new terminal might require higher taxes or fees. The full article is at http://www.wpmi.com/news/local/story...1-A72C154BD1EA . WKRG TV (CBS) focused on the infrastructure needs that the Holiday will need, expecially a new cruise ship terminal. The story is at

http://www.wkrg.com/servlet/Satellit...th=!news!local .

I just thought it was interesting how three different sources covered the same local story three different ways.

Very interesting to see each one's take on it. I for one am extremely delighted to see any ship go in and have often wondered why Pensacola was not considered considering it's proximity to New Orleans and the Gulf. Mobile is beautiful also and there are alot of things to do in each. Can't wait. Hope more ships come in to either one.

This is really interesting (and confusing) since this article says the Holiday will be home ported in Jacksonville. Hmmmmmmm.....
