Default The surprise cruise is now known!

Hi all,

I just had to report in before bed ...

Art's surprise cruise for Jan 5th was the final gift we opened tonight with Art's sister and boyfriend here and our close friend Jeff.

I acted like we were all done for about 20 minutes, and then "happened" upon the unopened gift bag under the tree.

Art opened the bag, sifted through the tissue paper, and came upon a booklet-sized package wrapped in tissue paper (our cruise docs).

He was first happy to see we would be on Royal Carribean again (it's been more almost 2 years since we sailed on that line). Then, I pointed out to check out the page that I had marked with a Post-It -- then he was *really* surprised that we leave in a matter of *11 days* for the 4-nighter on the Monarch to Catalina, Ensenada and San Diego from Long Beach.

I guess I was a better fibber than I thought because Art said he had no inkling I had booked it, thinking the docs etc that arrived in the mail were for our Feb 1 cruise on the Pride. Further, he said he was so spurprised how soon we were leaving and joked that he should start packing now.

All in all, it was a great surprise. Glad I could share it all with you.

Harry

My cat threw up under the tree - that was a surprise.

Don't forget to toast me on my January 5th birthday! Good work on the surprise.

Bon Voyage!

Harry, congradulations for keeping the secret for so long (don't think I could have done it). We were on the four day Monarch Dec. 1st. Pretty ship. Don't miss the Dueling Pianos in Bolero's, it was great. Have a good time and I'll see you on the pride.

P.S. If you have any questions about the Monarch, just e-mail me.

Harry, I gotta hand it to you. That is some gift and some ruse--and a good Christmas story for the telling. I might do something like that for my wife some time in the future.

Get packing and enjoy the cruise. I gotta wait unitl March--most impatiently, might I add.

Steve

Hi all,

Of course, I took photos of the surprise ... was just too tired last night at 1 a.m. to upload 'em.

Look in the photo galleries and see the surprise moment by moment.

:-)
