Default Can the mascot thread be moved?

Can the mascot travel thread be moved to a different board, or have it's own board, where it'll float to the top whenever there is another post. It is using up a lot of space and with everyone posting on different subject lines it is cluttering the Chit Chat.

Just my 1 cent thought!!!

Regards,
Thomas

Hey Thomas,

It seems you have had a change of heart. ou wanted to take a bear with you. Now you seem to think its clutter?

See below: At YOUR POST:

I'll be happy to take the mascot in October but do you want/need to have pictures taken? I don't do pictures.........................only videos.

The problem is it seems the poster is starting a new thread for every comment regarding "the bears" . Don't think there's any reason it all couldn't be limited to a couple of threads.

By doing so, those who are interested can check those threads, those who are not don't have to scroll through so many messages to skip.

The reason there are so many posts by me is that i am trying to keep the bars organized by month so i can book them with out overbooking them. Its hard to go theough just one or 2 post to go through all the dates that people want to have a bear. I hope that can be understood. It is not as easy to keep up with as some may think.

Nope, no change of heart. I can distinguish between wanting to participate and overloading a board with posts. There are 17 subject posts on the front page of this board (including mine) involving these mascots.

I wanted to participate but had no idea where to post my request in the other 16 posts, so I had to start a new one. Doesn't it seem wise to have a single post to which everyone can reply to?

Thomas

Susie...
If you check the e-mail replies box at the bottom of your message, you'll get each response sent to your mail box automatically, and save yourself having to scroll through all the postings looking for replies.
That puts all responses at your fingertips.

And just because Thomas expressed an issue with the multiple postings doesn't at all mean he doesn't like the idea, or wouldn't want to take one with him. Seems his issue is with the posts, not at all with the idea!

When you post a new thread or reply to an old one at the bottom of the posting text box is a space where you can check "email replies to this thread to the above address" .

Thanks Thomas Instead of saying anything I was getting ready to delete cruisemates, with all this bear talk. Cute idea, but all those posts.

ok I just pposted the last time (for this week) the only other post I might post about the bears anyway is when they arrive at their 1st host! I never wanted anyone to get mad over this I just wanted to try to have some fun. I spet right at $100 on this fun project, (not that it matters) and i am very excited about it. Sorry if I made anyone mad.

Just a quick thought here. I love the idea of the bears, official or not, but I agree about there being too many threads. I would suggest using a calendar program, and then you can easily schedule and track the bears. There are many free ones out there, of if you have Outlook it's easy to set up.

Why doesn't everyone who is interested just click on ssatterly's name & email her directly rather than making another post?

Problem solved!

I agree with Thomas on this. There is even a post about the bears on the Regal Board. How many posts do we need about the bears? Is it possible to set up one's profile to not show certain user names (like the capability available in chat)?

Who ever ships the bears pays for the shipping. Only one time. Just as I paid for the bears and I paid for their 1st shippings as they are on their way to their 1st cruises.

I have to agree, too many bear posts. Don't need to post everytime the bears leave or arrive at a destination on a new thread either. Just stay with the one original one and then we don't have to wade through all these posts to find something we are interested in reading.

Just my $.02.

how about making a website like on geocites or soemthing that you could track the bears on...you could put a calender right on there and people could look on it to find out what is going on....the guestbook could be used to scedule trips then you cuol dhave a photo gallery to!
