We're off to FL this weekend and will have the 2 absolutely wonderful, terribly terrific, extremely bright, enormously cute grandchildren with us. (I am a little prejudiced but I try to keep it under control!) We're looking for suggestions to help keep them busy. They'll be spending 3 days at Disney with Mommy & Daddy - but how about stuff that Nana and Papa can do with them or take them to for the other 7 days? They're 4 and 6.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks a million everybody! Have a great hump day and hope you all pick up speed towards the weekend. For those of you counting down the days till your next cruise - I can only say ....... SIGH!!
In the Orlando area there's Gatorland (on Orange Blossom Trail), which all of our grandkids enjoy. They also like Sea World ...lots to do and plenty of fish critters to keep them amused. Wonder Works on I-Drive is a hoot (look for the upside-down building), and can be appreciated by intelligent younger children as well as teens and adults. And our grandchildren always enjoy a trip to the Kennedy Space Center...less than an hour from Orlando (lots of oohs & aahs there).
Enjoy your trip, and feel free to contact me by email if you have any questions.
I also highly recommend Sea World. My sister and I took our kids there two years ago and all of them want to go back. Discovery Cove is a lot of fun, but it is expensive. We enjoyed Universal Studios too, but our kids are older (8-12). Whatever you do I'm sure you'll have a great time!
