I'm booked on the new Caribbean Princess for this December and I found some interesting information on this new ship. The description and activties sound awesome, but one thing has me thinking........ I know how it is with lounge chair "savers" on a normal cruise and in reading about the Caribbean Princess, they advised that lounge chair reservations will be available for film screenings (they have the 300-square foot LED poolside screen), to be reserved thru the Princess Concierge. Also, poolside service will be available to enhance the viewing experience with a variety of drink specials and movie nibbles. It sounds really great, but I wonder if the reservations for the chair, will really work? Or will there be the same problems as before on "all" ships with "chair hogs"? I would think this might be a solution but if you get up to go to the bathroom; what's to stop anyone from using your chair. Maybe you can put your name on it or it will be locked and you'll have a key? Interesting.....the rest of the description of the ship and activities sounds really great. I was just wondering what your thoughts were of the chair reservations? I'm not going until December. I will be looking forward to your reviews before then.
PS They're offering a special breakfast and dinner experience on your balcony, (which I will have). I wonder if the small fee will be worth it? The dinner doesn't sound good to me because I don't like lobster, but the breakfast sure does.....it features Cuban specialty pastries, tropical fruit salad in a pineapple boat, chilled marinated shrimp with papaya relish, warm egg and tomato pie with cheese gratin and a split of French champagne. I just made myself awfullly hungry.................
