Default Hot Dogs and Hamburgers

I am stealing this topic partially from a comment made on another thread below.
How do you "dress" your hot dog?s
Same question for Hamburgers.
For hot dogs, it depends on my mood. I can go from a plain dog on a bun, to one with just mustard, to mustard and relish. There is one last way I eat them and that is with potato salad on them. I picked that up working next door to a kosher deli as a kid.
I don't do onions, chili or anything else. How do you eat yours?

For hamburgers it is pretty simple. Either just ketchup or just a slice of onion.
How about you?

Hot dog; mustard, onion, dill relish, cucumber and celery salt. (I live near Chicago)

Hamburger; American cheese, grilled onions, ketchup, mustard, pickles and, if it's in season, tomato.

Thanks Ray, now I'm hungry, good thing it's only 5 minutes till lunch.

When I was growing up in NJ we used to go to a place called Casino that had killer hot dogs with green peppers and potato wedges....to die for. Of course with mustard. Since I can't get a Casino dog here in Orlando I usually settle for mustard and onions and sometimes cole slaw!
Another vote for no burgers.........

Hot Dog: Spicy horseradish mustard only.

Hamburger: Horseradish sauce, raw onions and pickles (or dill relish...not sweet relish).

I prefer buns with lots of sesame seeds! Yum!

Give me a good Detroit Coney Island hot dog any day....Lafayette or American...the best in the world. Their loose hamburgers are great too!

Since I'm now 300 miles from Detroit, hot dogs get mustard, catsup, onions. Burgers, medium rare, get catsup, one huge slab of raw onion and a tad of mustard.

Geez you guys are making me hungry! For my hot dog, I'll take it steamed (steamie) with mustard and ketchup. Hamburger, well done with mustard and ketchup and maybe cheese, lettuce and tomato. Hmmmm, time for a BBQ!

Hotdogs: Depending on my mood, and the mood of my stomach--now that the cast iron is starting to rust--anything from mustard alone to horse radish, dill pickle relish, kraut, onions, cheese, chili. And yes, they're even better roasted on campfire, with the little pot of chili sauce simmering nearby.

Hamburgers: The basics--Tomato, onion, bacon, cheese, dill pickle, mayo, or mustard. I can take or leave lettuce.

Max and Erma's serves a "Garbage Burger." It has everything, including refried beans, mushrooms, and salsa. If you bribe the chef, he'll even include the kitchen sink. If you order one of those, wear a bib, and enjoy!

Since I usually eat hotdogs at picnics, I put baked beans over the dog. <burp>

Hamburger: when I'm in a hurry, ketchup only, but if I'm at home: a double cheeseburger, one slice american, one slice mozzarella, with tomato, lettuce, and mayo. Sorry I'm strange but I like a large dill pickle on the side with chips.

Boy, now I'm hungry! I know what's for dinner tonight!

A good old coney dog: nice soft bun, lots of loose meat (chili w/o beans & little sauce) & lots of mustard, some good finely minced sweet onions.
