Back from the Majesty - Boo Hoo

Just got back from Majesty of the Seas. Any questions? We were so sad that CoCo Cay was cancelled due to the weather!

When we went on our first cruise in 2001 it was on the Majesty of the Seas also and CoCo Cay was cancelled for us to.

It was only the 3 day cruise so we just ended up going to Nassau. We were disappointed because we thought the idea of a giant beach party sounded like fun.

How was the food and service on board? What type of cabin did you have??? Dish all please!

We cruised the Majesty earlier this month and were dissappointed. The ship is in
fairly good condition, but the food is not up to cruising standards. Some of the staff
are rude, elevators very very slow, safes not is all cabins, Broadway type shows
are not a good as Carnival, and we also missed Coco Cay due to the wind/waves.
The Majesty is an older ship and I'm told most of the crew are still learning, which
means the Majesty is a training ground for RCCL.

We had a blast on the Majesty last Sept. It was our 1st cruise. We loved it so much we became addicted to cruising. If you click on ship reviews I posted a review there; I can't past the link here. I'm not that technically savvy. Sorry.

Yes, if you look hard enough you are going to find something to complain about. By the same token if you bring a good attitude & a bit of patience, you will have a wonderful vacation.

This was our second sailing on the Majesty. Yes, it's an older ship and showing her age, but very elegant. The first time we were able to go to CoCo Cay and, actually, this was the reason we wanted to take our granddaughter. Sooooo, we were VERY disappointed that it was cancelled. The food was just ok, pretty typical of RCCL. We have always raved about the food on Carnival! Ditto for the entertainment, Carnival has 1st class entertainment! We had an inside cabin, soooooooo small, but, again ok for the 4-day cruise. We found the staff and crew to be pleasant - no rudeness. We will be on the Mariner in Oct. for the Eastern itinerary and have a Jr. Suite - pricey, but we feel worth every penny! We love to have a balcony - there's nothing like it! If you can afford it, I recommend a balcony! (Stayed at the Radisson downtown Miami and it was great!!!!) Does anyone every remember the Omni Mall? Fond memories! jack & erlinda
