A new problem has reared its ugly head. Last night, I noticed that my husband was squinting while he watched t.v. He said he could see better with one eye closed. When he broke his ribs in that fall last Monday, he also acquired a shiner. Don't know how; he might have hit a stucco wall.
He had an appt. with an eye doctor 3/26, and like the impulsive dope I am, I moved it to the end of April (after the cruise) thinking that he wouldn't be mobile enough to keep the appt.
He really needs to be seen, and at our clinic, eye appts. are always at least a month ahead. My DH says that the problem existed before the fall. But at this point I'm wondering if the eye problem could still be exacerbated by or be fall-related. I think I'll try to get him seen elsewhere.
Whew, I'm stressed. It helps to talk about it. Thanks for listening.
It could be that the misfocus of one eye contributed to the fall--depth perception. I know I'm more accident and slip prone when I'm not wearing my glasses. As Mike suggested, try to get that appt. moved up. Good luck!
