Who needs a cup more than I do this morning? Help yourself!
Busy times over here. Ended up having to take care of my nephews for a couple of days and then driving to Dresden on Thursday for the weekend. In between all of that we got our new car. We decided to go for a VW Golf station wagon and boy am I glad we did! Parallel parking in Dresden is a challenge and would have been a disaster with a Passat. Just too long for tight city centers over here (for me!). The Golf was also an automatic with all the bells and whistles and the Passat was stick shift. It´s also nice to have a diesel again. Regular gas now costs 4.80$ a gallon where as diesel only costs 3.40$ a gallon. That will make a big difference financially when driving to and from Dresden.
While on our deck yesterday evening I watched a P&O cruise ship sail by. The season has begun! Last Tuesday I saw one too. Wish I could jump aboard!
Off to buy some groceries. Used up the last bit of coffee this morning and Toby´s out of dog food. Guess we also need some food. I don´t think I´ve ever seen our fridge so empty!
Have a fantastic day! Hope you are all doing well.
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall
Re: Happy Monday! Coffee´s fresh!
Good morning Karen and everyone to come later on. Quite a night of heavy rain here in SE Wisconsin last night...thank goodness no severe weather but heavy downpours that caused some scattered flooding. It ended well before I had to leave work last night so it was a decent ride home.
Karen - sounds like you had a very productive few days....sure wish I could get myself out of this rut and do something different..........oh well, will do something different soon!
Have a great day everyone!
Carnival Breeze with Ray B and Aerogirl 5/4/14!
Good morning all, Hope everyone is ready for monday. I am off to work then ready for a busy day. Boyfriends bday today, we are going to go play some putt putt after work, then go to the gym, I will make dinner for him, then he wants to go to this ice cream store afterwards (they have the best ice cream).
Good morning Karen, Lisa, Michelle and all to follow. Congrats on the new car Karen...it is always exciting to get a new vehicle. I've not had a new car since 1997 and that is a VERY long time for me....I used to get a new car every couple of years. Funny, I started cruising in 1997...wonder if there is a link? We had a beautiful weekend in the "Burg"....sunshine and warm temps.....I sure hope spring is here to stay. We had a lovely cookout at the kid's house yesterday...they did a great job! But, now it is Monday and the start of another work week. I hope you all have a great day!

Good morning cruisers. 5 am rolled around entirely too fast this morning. I think if may of had something to do with staying up till 11 pm watching the Best Boardwalks on the travel channel.
One more week with the fed's audit -sure wish it was over with. Two more auditors joining the inspection team this week, both lab specialists. That will mean my department will be under scrutiny. I'm sure we'll "pass" with flying colors, but it just wears on your nerves waiting for your turn.
Got real lucky this am. The radio station that I normally wake up to was off the air. Luckily, one of my cats heard the static that I couldn't and started walking around on the bed. Got up only about 3 min late. I guess I'll have to keep the furry pain in the $%#& around.
I can really get used to these 70 deg days around here.
Happy Monday! Bright sunshine coming in the window, can hardly see the screen but after lots of rain last night, I'll take it!
Didn't do much on the weekend but managed to get outdoors for several walks, did meet a friend for breakfast, too! I was sort of preparing for this weekends road trip to Iowa to see my sister and family.
Now it is off to work and a denist appointment later, too!
Good morning Cruisemates from very sunny but chilly Long Island. Weekend was really nice. Saturday temps were in the high 60's but it was just a teaser. Gonna be back to low 50's as highs this week. It was nice while it lasted.
Just crossed the day off on the calendar and there are ONLY 49 days till we leave for Hawaii Now that thought makes my day, a mere 7 weeks left to go.
Good morning from swfl...had a okay day yesterday and we did go to the beach! The weather was nice but the water was too cold for me. My husband jumped in with the girls for a little while. It is pretty busy at the beaches and I will be glad when everyone leaves FL and us Floridians have the state again Everyone got a nice tan also.
Not much on the agenda today. I have a docotors appointment on wednesday which happens to be our 21 wedding anniversary also. I don't think weare doing anything this year. My aunt is going to a nursing home today to check it out for 1 week. She is totally depressed and made all her funeral arrangements. She wants to die now My Dad told me on the phone saturday if I wanted to see her one more time to come to Germany. My husband told me there is no way we are cancelling our cruise again. We will see what will happen...
Have a good day mates........
2015--- Alaska Cruise separate land trip to Ireland and England !
Good morning from Orlando where I've started a 4 day work week and have Monday's off! Yahoo!! We had our choice of Friday or Monday and I chose Monday since I've had way too many Sunday evenings where I've wondered "where did the weekend go". Plus if there's a Monday holiday we get an extra day off.
Sue, I know it's easy for me to say don't worry about your aunt. Maybe the depression is a reaction to the change in her situation. Hopefully the nursing home will recognize this and work with her to adapt to the change in her surroundings.
Good morning Cruisers. I did not have the weekend I wanted. I'd planned to go visit my parents - haven't been home since Christmas - but suddenly had a big project at work and had to work over the weekend. So we won't be going until Easter weekend. Well, I guess overtime isn't a bad thing.
I need this upcoming cruise sooo bad!!! Can't wait just to relax.
Good morning from lafayette. The day is great sinny and will be hot only 12 more days to sail. have a good change to upgrade to a suite with a balcony on the Grandeur of the seas. Is this good Please help first time on a cruise.
Morning all from Montreal where it really looks and feels like spring at last!
I'm exhausted after a very busy weekend. Glad to go back to work today, just for a rest!
I'm hoping we have seen the last of the cold and snow, after last week's cold snap, snow and rain. Now it looks promising, and in no time we will be shedding the layers and jumping into summer - oooh, I can't wait! Have a nice day all,
Good morning from Southern California. Oh, you lucky people that got rain!
Well, my husband had a painful night and is still asleep. The neighbors woke me up again, so here I am at 6:38 a.m.
Lots of phone calls to make and errands to run. Also some ironing. Might try to book that Galveston cruise today. Although paying for a car rental when the vehicle just sits there for a week while I cruise is a definite minus.
Good Morning cruisemates! Had pleasant spring like weather all weekend. We're scheduled to have two days of summer, with temps today and tomorrow in the 70s, .... then we can probably expect fall on Wed., and winter back on the weekend.
It can be nice living somewhere with all 4 seasons.... but do we have to have them all in one week <G>
Good morning from wet SE Florida. Seems the showers are hanging out right along the coast this morning so we'll just have to endure a little downpour every once in a while. We need the rain anyway.
I saw an ad in the paper yesterday for cruiseonly balcony on HAL Zuiderdam from $799. Boy if we didn't have to put the dog in puppy prison for a week, we'd be on that ship or something like it in a flash.
Tweety, the time is flying for you. 49 days will fly by. Hang in there.
Gee I wish I could suffer from another 11 day cruise---- that kind of suffering would be nice.
Off to work I go--- the sun is out and it looks to be a great day our here in my part of CA
Wishing everyone well-- speedy countdowns etc.
Thanks for the coffee it really hit the spot-----
