I have been posting for about 2 weeks now..friend told me about this place..I find it
to be very imformative and everyone seems to be so firendly..I guess you might say
I have found a new home on the web..just a little about me and my better half.
I am a 911 NAEMD(national academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch)..also an
EMT..althouth I dont ride the ambulance any longer..I do, on occasion run with the
rescue truck and 1st respond on calls in my area when I am off duty. I love the job.
I have been doing it now for 16 yrs...before that I drove a truck cross country for
18 years...have been in just about all the places all of you are from..Canada to
Mexico. Wife is an accountant for our local Comm College and has been for 21 yrs.
We have been married for 17 yrs and were High school sweeties but did not get
together until later in life..Am i boring you yet..any questions will be gladly answered.
This IS our first cruise and looking forward to it very much..looking forward to getting
to know all of you more in the future..thats all for now though..seizure later.<G>
P.S. I am also a NASCAR NUT.
Welcome John. My husband is a firefighter/paramedic at our local Fire Dept. so we know all about 911 dispatchers! They keep him up all night when he's on duty .
Really though, welcome and happy sailing.
Welcome John! Seems like only yesterday I was a newbie around here, and now I feel I can call all the CruiseMates my friends. Learned alot, and found new friends and fellow cruise addicts. You and your wife must be so excited about your first cruise! Be sure to tell us all about it when you get back!
Thanks again to Cher and to Donna..I assume you are in Canada Donna...<G?..what
part of the most beautiful country are you from..I have trucked all over your country and
love it..I plan to take wifey and go on a long vacation there some day..
I will be sure to let everyone know how it goes on the cruise...
I AM SO EXCITED..I AM SITING ON BOTH MY HANDS..JUST TO KEEP FROM
WAVYING AT EVERYONE....lol
John welcome to our home away from home. The only place where we can go to talk about cruising anytime we want and no one tells us to SHUT UP!
First cruise was an exciting time for each of us and I'm happy to say that the excitement doesn't lessen as you cruise more. It's like being a kid waiting for Xmas waiting for your cruise to arrive. So you are quite lucky with such a short time to go and we are all jealous.
Glad you decided to join us. Stop by anytime and drop into chat any weeknite from 9 - 10:30 EST to find more addicts. Maybe one day you'll join us on a Cruisemates Cruise and then you'll be able to put a lot of faces to the names you will meet here.
Join us for the Glorious Victorious Thanksgiving Cruisemates Cruise on November 21, 2004. Great rates and lots of fun! Click on the link for all the details.
Thanks Tweety...this place is great...welllll I am from arkansas and since I use to

and wish he was doing better..YOu are right..maybe some day soon we can cruise on
one of the CM cruises..that would be coooooolllll...
Hello John! Welcome to my home away from home. I am so glad you found us and decided to post. It is always great to meet a newbie to cruising! Be prepared to become addicted like the rest of us.

Hi John, I've noticed your handle around here lately - glad you have officially moved in. Put your feet up and make yourself comfortable, you're "home"! I don't know if they're NASCAR fans or not, but Carole (she's around here somewhere) and her husband race their own car and hit the local show circuits.
I wouldn't feel right if I didn't warn you. In approximately two weeks you will begin to come down with something. You will feel distracted, sullen, prone to swaying back and forth with your face searching for the sun. Don't call "911". (lol) Just come here. We can help. You will have PCD. Post Cruise Depression. Don't fight it. Let it take it's course. There is no Step Program treatment, only booking another cruise seems to ease the symptoms. I only thought it neighborly that I warn you.
And John, when you get back, think about booking the Pirates of the Texaribbean CruiseMates cruise on the Grand Princess next February (check out the link below). Galveston is just a short run down the road from Arkansas.
Tweety said: "The only place where we can go to talk about cruising anytime we want and no one tells us to SHUT UP!" Hahahahaha - I have, on more than one occasion, been FORBIDDEN to mention the "C" word around my family. I'm sure my non-cruiser friends (yes, I have a few), have felt the same way but were nicer! lol
Welcome John. It was only a few months ago that I found this site , and I'm pleased that there are so many nice people out there. They even laugh (or groan) at some of the bad jokes that I post. Did you say what part of the country you're from?
I'm glad you decided to really jump in here. It's a great place to talk about cruising and to meet some wonderful people. I hope you get to do a Cruisemates cruise with some of us one day. They are lots of fun.
It's fun to share your excitement as you wait for your first cruise. Please be sure to tell us all about it when you return.
My brother has cerebral palsy and is in a nursing home here in Florida. He loves to watch the NASCAR races on the weekends. His wheelchair has a big number 88 on the back of it.
Hope you decide to stop into chat one of these evenings.
Good Morning and Welcome John! We are NASCAR fans also! Season ticket holders to New Hampshire International Raceway. Richard (DH) works on a pit crew for his brother who races the sportman's circuit in New England ( road courses) Who is your favorite driver?

Glad you found us John, I'm sure you bring something to the party. We don't have many people from Arkansas here, there was ArkJudy for a while but I haven't seen her posting in a while. Maybe she's in another forum that I don't visit.
I've been here about 4 years and been kicked out of the group more times than I have fingers and toes to count on. But these weirdos keep inviting us sane folks back....... don't know why, but I'm glad.
I am a newbie too! We will be taking our first cruise in December (me, my husband and our four children). I am also a 911/EMD. I dispatch for police and fire too. If anyone needs a vacation, you do! (And I would know).
Enjoy your cruise. I hope to read all about it when you get back.
