Default Advertising Slogan Sucker

This morning I unwrapped a new bar of soap, Tropical Escape. Washed my hair with Mango Peach. Deodorant, Ocean Breeze. Deliberated for a second between Paradise and Bora Bora perfumes. Hmmm....I realized there was a trend here. Checked the dish soap, laundry detergent, and air freshener - all had similar names.

Has anyone else fallen prey to the advertising media? Cruisers are easy targets. What's your favorite names? Oops, I mean brands? lol

Ivory soap, Wisk detergent, Dawn dish washing soap, Aqua Velva after shave. Nothing very romantic, thought provoking or island-y here, huh?? ;-)

Interesting observation Mermaid. I checked, and sure enough, the bubble bath bottle reads: Caribbean Citrus!

I'm with you, Mermaid. My dishwashing liquid was Tropical Breeze scent for a while but now I can't find it anymore.

Cheers,
Michelle P.

On the lines of talking about soap..THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE.
If you know of anyone that has like nervous leg syndrome or achey legs at night.
I read an article in the paper from a doctor that had a reader write in and said that
he found out(he is some kind of scientist)that if you take a flat bar of soap, like the
kind you get from motels or wherever..just dont use Ivory..and lay it between the
sheets and mattress where your legs are...they will not hurt or jerk..I told my 74 y/o
mother this and she tried it..her legs have not hurt or jerked in over 3 weeks..I have
tried it and IT WORKS...dont know why and the doctor cant explain it other than
Ivory will not work..sooo if you know anyone tell them..you dont have anything to
loose but the pain...my wife also tried it and she has had good results..she tried
it on me without telling me and I made the comment that I slept good with no pain
or nervousness in my legs and then she told me why..go figure..all I know is that
it works and I try to share this with everyone..seizure later

The Ivory detergent that I bought is called "Spring Blossoms." My manicurist uses a lotion scented with Mango.

I'm with you Mermaid..I have always been attracted to citrusy tropical aroma's..Given the choice, I would always go with a nautical, Caribbean , or Ocean aroma....Trip
