Default bottled water

I see a lot of posts about bringing alcohol on board the ships, but what about bottled water? That stuff will cost more then booze in the end! We want to be able to use it on and off the ship. Anyone ever take it on board with them? We sail the carnival glory this saturday!! yeh

You are allowed to bring bottaled water with you. What we do is just bring a couple bottles and refill them with ships water before going ashore. The water onboard the ship is just as good as bottled water. (and maybe even better than some!)

24 cruises and counting!

Jim's suggestion is an excellent one. The ship's water is pure and you don't have to pay for it.

that's exactly what we do. We go to the store before we board the ship, buy the water,( It looks better if you have a bottle in your hand that you are sipping from) refill it in the cabin and keep it in the fridge.

I read somewhere that germs CAN be passed if you get them on the top of the bottle. As in the screw-area that you drink from.

I also use Jim's method. The tap water on the ships is like drinking distilled water.

I have taken bottled water on each cruise I've been on with no problem. I pack 3-4 bottles in ziplock bags in checked bags, and then put 3-4 in my carry on bag and haven't had any problems to date. I leave in 13 days on the Carnival Holiday from New Orleans, then again on May 10 from Tampa on the Carnival Sensation. you'll have great fun. I can't wait! ! !
sailed Carnival Destiny 4-6-03
RC Explorer of Seas 5-10-03
RC Majesty of SEas 3-1-04
Now I'm hooked!

Yes, we took a whole suitcase full of bottled water. Then used the empty suitcase for the shopping we did. On Radisson Seven Seas bottle water is complimentary as is soda and a fully stocked bar in your cabin and good wine at dinner. No more dragging our own water! Judy
