Hi Everyone:
First, I want to say that I bought a Powerball ticket at noon today; and if it's a winner, you're all going on a cruise with me, my treat. Now that I've got your attention......I have a favor to ask. I don't like "non-cruise" related issues here; but everyone has such a broad knowledge of everything and everyone seems so friendly and helpful, that I thought I would ask your opinion on something.
I'm finally to the point where I'm going to buy a cell phone, but I don't know which one to get. There seems to be so many options and plans, that they have me confused. My kids are grown, and they have cell phones, so it's just DH and myself now. We don't call long distance at all and we just want two phones and two lines for emergencies, etc. I hear about "roaming fees" and I don't even know what they're talking about. I won't need those, I'm sure. Can anyone help me, or should I just go to a local cell phone company and start asking questions? We're going on two cruises this year and I thought it might be helpful to have a cell phone with us.
Thanks in advance.
Happy Cruising.........Anita
I prefer using the phones that you pay as you go no contract.

I think that a Trac Phone would be a good idea for you. You buy the phone and then purchase pre-paid minutes to use as you please. No contracts or monthly billing involved.
We have a tracfone but you do have to buy minutes-- every two month just to keep the phone up-- the minutes carry over but the cost still tend to be about 10.00 a month-- and that for only one phone-- we too are looking into a phone plan-- to add to our sons phone----- he has Att and so does our daughter so if they talk to each other it doesnt count againt their minutes----- maybe consumer reports will have something ?
Good luck
