Good Morning and TGIF!!!!!!!
YEAH!!!!!! It is finally Friday and I am off of work today (just because I have to work the next four days doesn't distract from my joy at this point in time...........)
Only have laundry, bill paying and grocery shopping to do today - the rest of the day is mine to do with as I please!
Getting ready to send my Dad and younger sister off on a road trip early next week - they are driving from Milwaukee to Tuscon....................I have no worries on the way down there. But my Dad is driving back on his own (my sister could only take a week off of work and she is flying back from Phoenix - my Uncle in Tuscon is driving her to the airport there). I am perfectly confident that my Dad can do this (he is 74 and in pretty good health) but my sister and brother and his wife are having a hard time with this. I work with the elderly and know my Dad is capable of this, but that doesn't mean I won't worry a little bit............especially since he doesn't have a cell phone! Maybe that will be on my agenda for today - buy him one of those limited use for emergency use only cell phones!
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Lisa and to all our CruiseMates friends.
Yep, it is Friday, one long work day then the weekend. Wife and I have a large but hopefully productive list this weekend to accomplish a great deal. We will see.
Sorry I have not been on nightly chat. With day light savings an extended sunlight I come home and change into my grubbies and tackle some of those 1 to 2 hour jobs leaving the weekend for the big ones.
Have a great Friday and especially that ever allusive Saturday and Sunday.

Good morning mates..had a good time in chat last night! I am so excited we switched our cruise and today I have to cancell the Royal Car. one. The new cruise has 3 sea days plus one at the Island...talk about relaxing!
Lisa I think the cell phone is a good idea. Maybe even a regular one would be nice. I have become dependent on mine thats for sure! Plus I don't see that many public phones any more.
Trip our grandsons name will be Aiden also ! Steve have fun working on the house this weekend.
Going to the dog beach this afternoon with the two kids. My husband is taking some time off and taking oldest one to some kind of departement from the state. She still has the insurance issue to deal with. Have a good day mates...

Good morning all! Yes, TGIF! Sounds like everyone has been busy or has busy weekends ahead. I'm leaving straight from work to go to Jackie's to continue the cookie baking marathon. Six weeks from tomorrow is the BIG DAY. Seems like I just took her to the school bus for her first day of kindergarten. How did this happen!!!!!?????
Have a wonderful day and weekend.

TGIF! Enjoyed chat last night and even though I am not currently planning a cruise, I am reading a book I've checked out of the library called Cruise Vacations For Dummies, 2001 edition. Last night's chat put me in mind of investigating a CruiseMates cruise.
I'm going over last minute details for our little project at church tomorrow. Over a 1000 ft. of conduit was delivered yesterday. They were making me a little nervous. I got all the workers lined up, and I wanted all the materials there when the workers were. It's raining here today, so the ground will be nice and soft to cut the trenches for the underground counduit runs.
Lisa, I bought a Tracfone for such emergencies. We do a lot of driving during football season, and it just gives peace of mind. Plus it was fun to call family from the ship in Miami during the lifeboat drill. <G>
Steve, I know what you mean. It's good to spend more time outside than in.
Trip, I wish I had today off, but it's raining outside, so I might as well be at work. After all, it pays for the cruises!
Sue, I know I love those days at sea too! Glad you can make the change.
Jim, start looking! You never know when the perfect cruise just falls into your lap.
Mike, I tried to convince my DW to come outside and help me with some yard work. She thought that was a pretty good joke. But I love it! The only problem is there is never enough time.
Hope everyone has a great day, and a better tomorrow.
Good morning Cruisemates. Bright sunshine here right now but I believe they are saying it's gonna rain here on Long Island today. Hard to believe when I look outside now. Sue I'm still hoping for a day that is warm enough to go to the beach, doggie or otherwise.
Started gathering clothes last week for the cruise and was checking them over, trying them on and just laying them on the bed in the spareroom and lo and behold, talked to daughter on Wednesday and she said "Well I'll see you on Friday". Seems she told 'da Coot' she was coming last weekend but he neglected to let me know. Hence, I have now put away all the clothes again and will begin anew after she leaves on Sunday. Wouldn't ya know it. It's OK though, don't get to see her enough lately.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, I know we will. only 24 more sleeps till we leave to "GET LEI'D" on Serenade of the Seas No docs yet but they'll be here soon I'm sure since most of our people have theirs already. Have to return Nancy's call this morning, she called while we were out eating last nite. Hope they haven't put me in the same category as Kuki and trying to keep me off the ship :-)
Soon we'll be counting the days till our Thanksgiving Victory cruise.........Join us
I have a trac phone, it has proved invaluable. I am always having car problems, have spent more time broken down by the side of the ride then anyone I know (did you know that you can have take-out delivered to a vehicle by the side of the road (it was quite hard, especially with the languauge bearier (Chinese Food)).
I can't wait to work in my flower beds, but I think that will not be until next weekend, if not then, it won't be until the middle of May.
I know the frustaration of being on a Shoe Mission. Good Luck.
This weekend for me I have a little paperwork to complete/a little cleaning, then I hope to spend sometime scrapbooking. I have only recently started and I have a lifetime of pictures to get organized.
Also, I must get this puppy trained. How is it that when he goes to work with me, or to visit with Grammy (my mom) or to my sister's he ALWAYS does all his "business" on the puppy pee pads, at home, even though I put him on them regularly, he will only use them about 50 % of the time, and only about 10% on his own. Everywhere else he just runs to the pads whenever he has the need.
If any of you Cruisemates have some suggestions I would love to hear them. I'm at my wits end. I don't remember that training my last dog was so difficult.
Good Morning from the Midwest:
It's a cool, cloudy day here, but they say we're suppose to have some sun this afternoon. I'm sure tired of these cold, rainy days.
Taking the dogs to the beach sounds like a great way to spend the day. We don't have a beach here, but we just got our first dog park in Des Moines, and my two little dogs really love it there. It's about time we got something like that. It is really nice.
Counting down the days until my first of two cruises this year, but it's a long time to August, when we're going on the Island Princess to Alaska. Then in December, an anniversary cruise on the Caribbean Princess. Usually, I've been on a cruise by this time of the year, so it's "killing me" to be waiting so long.
Have a good day everyone and I'm sure glad it's Friday. I have a 3-day weekend to look forward to.
Happy Cruising........Anita
Good Morning from soggy Massachusetts. It is pouring outside! and only 50 degrees.Quite a change from yesterday when it was sunny and in the 80's - gotta love New England. My sinuses are not happy today with these shifts in the pressures. Not too much planned for the weekend, Richard is off in W. Virgina with his brother racing their car, so its just RJ and I this weekend. If its nice we might wash the camper and finish packing it, so we are ready to go.
Good morning gang
