Been on Southbeach diet 3 days.
 
Good Morning,
This is day 3 of South Beach diet. I can not believe I have lost 3 lbs already. I am a sugar aholic, and this is probably the first time in my life I have done with out sugar. It has been tough, but I keep saying "one day at a time". I think I miss my orange juice in the morning the most. I am not fond of this tomato juice..ugh! I hope to just stick to this diet until I lose 10 lbs then try to eat sensible.

If you will make some sugar free jello and sugar free puddings and keep them in wine glasses in the 'fridge for "sugar emergencies, it will help. Put sugar free whipped topping on it.
Stick with it..You can do it.

Congrats on the 3lbs! I agree with Ed, try some sugar free jello and whip the heavy whipping cream and add splenda...There are also Atkins bars out there that are sugar free and they are very good. Once you get used to it it isn't very hard :) Plus 10 lbs isn't a lot to have to get rid off.....you be there before you know it!

Wanna lose 10lbs fast? Try Diverticulitis! No, on second thought, don't, it's not worth the torture. Now if I could only figure out how to GAIN BACK 10 lbs!! LOL!

i have been on "atkins" for 5 weeks, i have lost 30 lbs!
you can do it! keep up the good work!

shubaby I have been on Atkins for 1 1/2 years and now lost about 90lbs...how did you manage to loose so fast? I still want to get rid of 30 lbs more. Are you walking?

I agree with the lots of water drinking btw! It helped me too and I quit diet soda too.

i am keeping with the 20 or less carbs a day.... lots of salad and fish!

big people like me seem to loose faster.... but we ... or at least i, gain it back fast also!!!

I weigh myself every day and monitor my weight this way. If I gain 2 pounds I go stricter the next days. Like today I ate pizza <wow> and the next few days I have to buckle down and maybe even walk an extra mile!

i cant get on the scales every day!
i have to do it one time a week!
and if i ever "cheat" (pizza) then i can't stop
i love to eat and i love food!
i think thats why i like to cruise so much!

David and I have been on South Beach since January and are very pleased with the results both odf us have lost between 30 and 40 pounds. It's very fast at first and a bit slower as time goes by.

I sure do miss orange juice though.

Chuck do you exercise also? And what do you eat foodwise when you are cruising? I do hope they have a scale at the ship so I can see if I gain any weight! I am wondering if they have low carb bread onboard? We have 3 sea days so I know we will get our exercise in.
