Default How Addicted Are You?

Hi:
I drive my family and friends "nuts" talking about cruises; which is one reason I frequent these boards so much. My travel agent even told me "you should join a cruise addiction group"; and she benefits from me cruising, so you'd think she would be happy about it. I find myself making deals with my husband; say for my annniversary I will say, no, you don't need to buy me any jewelry, but I did see a good deal on a cruise for the week of our anniversary. Our anniversary is right before Christmas and I always tell him how much money I'm saving him by booking a cruise for both occasions; and he hates to shop, so then he doesn't have to go shopping for my Christmas present.
My husband likes to cruise, but he doesn't love it. I don't even talk about cruises where I work; no one goes and they don't understand. What lengths do you go to, to cruise frequently?
Happy Cruising.....Anita

Well, I like to have a cruise booked to haved something to look forward to in the future. I just hope that the next one will have calmer seas than the Atlantic did!

Trip, that's exactly what this site is! A cruiser's waiting room! Next time some magazine or journal interviews the staff, throw that phrase in. It's a highly quotable and apt description of CM.

And I'm not addicted either. I'M POSSESSED! Ships are alive, I tell you! Their souls possess the souls of susceptible pax and crew. In some cases, they can even turn the least suspectably susceptible into virtual navimaniacs--my wife for example.

The only effective course of treatment for the hapless navimaniacs is keep booking cruises. We are helpless against the endless reverberation of the call of the sea and ships. There is neither rite, nor exorcism; nor is one desired.

Aren't we lucky to be so blessed?

I may dwell on the land, but I live at sea!

Steve
