Default WHAT a WAVE!!!

http://63.217.28.3/images/other2/GLwave1.WMV

I think cruisinKandJ experienced this weather personally.

This video was taken aboard the QM2 during her crossing the North Atlantic during the last week of April. The view is from the Golden Lion Pub on Deck 2.

You can either right-click the link and save it to your hard drive, or just click on it and see if it opens in Windows Media Player. It is a Windows Media Player file.

Cheers,
Michelle P.

Great picture Michelle, thanks. And may I add, if you noticed, the camera and the person holding it seemed fairly stable. Not to say, there was no movement, but non-cruisers have a vision of be hurled around the room in rough seas. Stabilizers do a phenomenal job in minimizing movement.

We did, indeed, experience those waves. As you probably know, cruise ships offer a 24-hr. live video of the ship while at sea. Our cabin was almost at the top of the ship, but our cabin portholes were constantly awash in high waves. Stabiblizers I'm sure, other passengers on the QE2 would agree. Captain Iam McKnight of the QE2 was forwarned of this situation by the Commodore on the QM2 which preceded us on this route.

Hi:
I loved that video of the wave.........I'm going to keep playing it over and over again until it's time for my next cruise. It was almost "JUST LIKE BEING THERE".
Happy Cruising......Anita

WOW! Our captain told us the last morning when we got into FLL that we had rain & 75 mph winds from Nassau to FLL - we slept through it!! But others complained how sick they were the next morning. But those on your pic were AWESOME!

The wave looks powerful but it's the QM2 so you can enjoy watching such waves in great comfort.
