Do the Oceanview Windows open?? I'm trying to plan my next cruise, and there is such a difference in price between the balcony and oceanview. I really just want to listen to the ocean at night while I sleep - I don't need a balcony but I wouldn't mind one!! HELP!!
On some cruises, the balcony prices can be very good.I was booked on the Carribean Princess in october and had a balcony for around $599.00..Have your TA look really hard, and the timeof the year too, has a lot to do with it too...

My DH and I learned first-hand why portholes do not open when we experienced very, very rough seas on a recent Atlantic crossing.
You don't say where your going, but a balcony cabin is well worth the money. It also depends on when you travel and on what ship. The newer ones are more expensive, I've found.
