I am going to the beach with my daughter, son and some friends for the weekend. The place I am going to is Ocean City Marylandits about a 3 hour drive away. My husband and dad are staying home with the dogs! I am so looking forward to getting away.
Our grass needs cutting, the ducts have to be cleaned, pool deck and cage needs a very good cleaning...you get the idea! This weekend the A/C guy is coming back to finish the work in the new room and we might paint the walls. This will be a busy work weekend. And most important ! My husband wants to see Shrek 2 with the kids. I am not a big fan of Shrek and might watch another movie with oldest daughter.
Now isn't this an exciting weekend?
June 1st 2015--- Denali Explorer Cruise on Star Princess!
Well, we had our long weekend last weekend, and I got gardening and lots of cleaning done!
Sue DO NOT MISS Shrek 2!! Saw it this past weekend and it was hilarious. Watching Puss'nBoots (Antonio Banderas) coughing up a hairball was worth the price of admission alone!
This weekend I was supposed to be going on a retreat with work for teachers' workshops etc. at a resort hotel in the Laurentians, but I had to back out of that so I could take my mom for her hospital appointment Fri. My mom needs me now and that's much more important.
Wishing you all a great Memorial Day weekend!
We are going to stay home... too many people on the road. Besides, we took a short trip last weekend and are going to take another the next weekend. This weekend will be relaxation and intense house cleaning much like Sue's.
I think it is work around the house (yard) and then a cook out with some friends. All in honor of memorial day and the last day of school. I think we as teachers look forward to it as much as the kids do.
We'll be going to the nursery to pick up some flowers, etc and make a trip to the cemeteries where our fathers are buried. Then if we have time, we will work on the garden and the flower beds. I don't know what we will do after lunch. <G>
It will probably rain all day so maybe I'll just rest up for the busy week ahead.
At this point, we're not even sure if we're going to open our pool this year. The deck is 10 years old, and needs to be replaced; the contractor is still calculating the estimate. This could be the summer of the siphon!
I may dwell on the land, but I live at sea!
Sensation 2/03 I disembarked, but never really left the ship.
Enchantment 9/03 Just had to go back.
Inspiration 3/04 Just have to go back again, and again, and again...
Sensation 04/05 The vessel made me do it!
It has been over a year since my Mom passed away. It is time to clean out her Condo and ready it for sale. I know Iíll run across multitudes of great memories. That is why Iíve chosen this special weekend to do this.

Will give most of the furniture to goodwill and will look for a clock repair person here in Orlando to take a look at the grandmothers clock. That's Saturday am. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend, and don't forget the true meaning of this weekend, to thank all of the brave men and women for the incredible sacrifices they make so that we can be free and safe to enjoy our lives.
Like Caribbeancats, emergencies take no holiday, so I'll be working all weekend answering 911 calls. Hopefully I don't hear from anyone I know!
Take care, all!

My son invited the entire Track & Field Team for supper on Friday night.
Saturday I hope to basically recover, but I'd love to finish planting and get the finishing touches done around the pool for the season (if it ever warms up enough to actually use it). I'd love to have a BBQ for just the family. Most of all I'd like to have a few hours to proceed with my scrapbooking. I never have any time and at this point I'll have to live to be at least 120 and never take another picture in order to get all those I have now taken care off.
